About Biomedical Artist Garrett Tidey

Garrett Tidey is a biomedical illustrator and animator from Washington DC. He is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology with a Master of Fine Arts in Medical Illustration. From the College of William and Mary he obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting as well as a degree in Biochemistry. He works with esteemed organizations such as the National Institutes of Health, the United States Department of Agriculture, and the Smithsonian Institution.

From analyzing microscopic cancers of different tissues in the lab to working directly alongside surgeons in the OR, and even illustrating cutting edge scientific research not yet published, Garrett’s expertise in the interrelation between science and art will bring striking visual clarity to your ideas.

Garré Tidey is a board certified biomedical illustrator and animator residing in Washington, DC. They are a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology with an MFA in Medical Illustration. They obtained a BFA in Drawing and Painting as well as a minor in Biochemistry from the College of William and Mary. They have worked with esteemed organizations such as the National Institutes of Health, the United States Department of Agriculture, and the Smithsonian Institution.
